Student Vaccinations Available in Menomonie

Dear SDMA Families and Staff,

There are many opportunities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in our community, and getting to a higher rate of vaccination might be the best way to get back to a more normal way of life in Menomonie.

The Dunn County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer vaccination clinic on Tuesday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 14. This could be a good opportunity to have children who are at least 16 years old receive their COVID-19 vaccine. There will also be a Johnson & Johnson vaccination clinic offered on Thursday, April 15.

  • Pfizer Vaccination Clinic: According to the health department, everyone who registers for the Pfizer vaccination clinic must be available for the second dose three weeks later, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Here is a link to the health department's scheduling website for the Pfizer clinic (16+ years old) on April 13-14.

  • J&J Vaccination Clinic: The health department will also be administering the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine for people at least 18 years old on Thursday, April 15. Here is a link to the health department's scheduling website for the Johnson & Johnson clinic (18+ years old) on April 15.

For more information about how getting the vaccine may impact exclusions from school, please refer to the SDMA Student Vaccination Guidance.

Thank you.
