The School District of the Menomonie Area is excited to offer students a variety of virtual courses for the summer of 2020!  Not only will the SDMA virtual summer school program provide some terrific learning opportunities for students, but it is also very important for helping the school district maintain funding through summer enrollment. Please consider registering your child for a number of courses.

Virtual summer school will be offered over two sessions:

  • Session 1: June 15-26
  • Session 2: July 6-17

Registration began on Thursday, May 21, 2020 and concludes today, Monday, June 1, at 4:00 p.m. Registration for elementary and middle school students will be completed online through a Google form by simply clicking on the following link: Summer Academy Google Enrollment. A list of available courses and other important information about summer programming can be found in the SDMA Summer Virtual Learning Brochure. Students enrolling in high school courses will need to contact Linda Jolicoeur in the high school guidance office (715) 232-2992 (or by email as shown below).

Students will enroll in courses based on the grade they are entering in the Fall of 2020. Students may enroll in numerous classes, keeping in mind that students are expected to complete approximately one hour of daily work/activities per course. Due to the virtual format, classes are not limited to a maximum number of students as they have been in previous years. No course adds or schedule changes will be allowed outside of the registration window. You will receive a schedule in the mail confirming your child’s enrollment prior to the start of Summer Academy 2020.

Elementary students enrolling in the virtual summer school program will be allowed to keep their district-issued devices over the summer. Middle school and high school students will need to turn in their district-issued device at the end of the school year, but new 6-12 Chromebooks will be made available for checkout.

If you have any questions, please call (715) 232-1642 or email the following staff.
