Dear SDMA Families and Staff, 

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Free Meals for Kids program in the SDMA, and thank you to our awesome school nutrition staff for providing the meals. Free breakfast and lunch is available for ALL children in the SDMA- 18 years old and under.  Meal pick-ups are available at Wakanda Elementary, Menomonie Middle School, and Menomonie High School from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Meal pick-ups at each location will continue, but please note the following changes to the pick-up schedule and routine beginning tomorrow- Friday, March 27:

• Meal pick-ups on Friday, March 27 will include breakfast and lunch meals for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 
• Meal pick-ups on Monday, March 30 will include breakfast and lunch meals for next Monday-Thursday. There will be no additional pick-ups on Tuesday-Thursday of next week.
• Beginning Friday, April 3, once-a-week meal pick-ups will include breakfast and lunch meals for the entire 7-day week.
• The new Once-a-Week pick-up schedule beginning on April 3 will continue on Fridays until future notice is provided. There will be no additional pick-ups during the rest of the week.
• All meal pick-up times will continue to be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Wakanda, MMS, and MHS.

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, March 27, meal pick-up locations at Wakanda Elementary and Menomonie Middle School will be moved to the back entrances of the schools. The pick-up location at MHS will be held by the Field House entrance.  

When picking up meals, please pull up to the school, open your trunk from inside your car (if you can), and tell the staff how many kids you have. SDMA staff will then provide one bag of meals per child. For the weekly pick-ups, each bag will contain food for seven breakfasts and seven lunches. The menu, directions, and food safety information will be included in each bag. You will also be receiving milk in gallon containers depending on the number of kids and your ability to store it at home.  We will do our best to provide a variety of meals, depending on the availability of items.

Before coming to pick up meals, please make a spot in your trunk so SDMA staff do not have to move anything. If your vehicle does not have a trunk, or if you can’t open the trunk from the inside of your vehicle, bags will be set outside your vehicle for you to load once SDMA staff members are at least six feet away. For the health and safety of our SDMA staff members, please stay in your vehicle until all staff members have left the area.
